Andalusia Cultural Tour
Andalusia, in the south of Spain, is the region where eight centuries of Muslim rule left their mark on everything from architecture to language. The Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita of Córdoba and the Alcázar of Seville follow one another on the same route; these three buildings can be read as the same tradition as it stood in three different centuries.
Here the season is not a matter of comfort but of whether the programme works at all. In July and August the temperature inland passes forty degrees and sightseeing by day becomes impossible. Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) are therefore the region's real season; April and May are also when the courtyards are in flower and local festivals are at their densest.
Our programme in this region is a six-day culture tour; it enters and leaves through Málaga and is planned for the end of May — the region's most balanced weeks.
