Marmaris Blue Cruise with Diving
Marmaris and the Hisarönü-Datça stretch are among the best places in Turkey to combine diving with life on a boat. The bays lie close together, the sea is usually calm through the summer, and the gulet moves from one bay to the next over short distances. The season opens in June and lasts until October; water temperature is between 24 and 28 degrees in the summer months.
The rhythm of the diving follows the boat's. The first dive of the day is made after breakfast, a second is added in the afternoon, and the night is spent in the bay where you drop anchor. The sites are mostly reef, wall and cave in character; because depth and current are moderate, they suit a new diver too.
What sets this format apart is that a companion who does not dive also gets a share of the trip: swimming, bay excursions and life on board are the programme itself. For anyone coming with a partner, a friend or family who do not dive, the tours in this region are among the rare programmes where diving does not clash with an ordinary holiday.
