The most important feature that distinguishes Komodo from other diving destinations is that it offers an incredible variety of diving experiences in very short distances.Sometimes it only takes a few boat hours to get from one spot where you can swim with turtles in calm, clear waters to another spot where you can encounter reef sharks and schools of giant trevally in strong currents.

Featured Dive Spots

Batu Bolong: An iconic spot with its colorful hard and soft corals;Reef sharks, trevally fish and occasionally manta rays can be seen. Manta Point: One of the most preferred points in the region, where manta tracks can be observed at cleaning stations. Castle Rock: At this point, known for its strong currents, there is a high probability of encountering reef sharks, barracudas, schools of giant trevally and eagle rays. Crystal Rock: It hosts a dense fish population with its clear waters and healthy coral structures. Tatawa Besar: With its soft coral reefs and rich macro life, it is suitable for both wide-angle and macro photography. Siaba Besar: A spot with healthy coral gardens, known for its calm conditions and sea turtles. Sebayur Kecil: Offers different depth options as well as colorful tropical fish and reef sharks.

Water Conditions

Water temperature in the region varies between 26-29°C depending on the season, and visibility is typically between 15-30 meters.

Who Can Participate?

Due to the strong currents in some parts of Komodo, you must have at least an Advanced Open Water Diver certificate or equivalent experience to dive in this area.
